AIR6500 is the RAAF’s $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems. Your responsibilities will include:
The Mission System ICT Lead shall:
Lead specific analysis and design activities to develop test and deliver the AIR6500 Mission System ICT solution
Guide the design, development, and testing of COTS/MOTS or custom computing hardware
Co-ordinate with hardware, systems and test engineers to deliver an integrated product
Manage the design and installation of ICT components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters
Development and Management of ICT Mission System Objective Evidence for sell off and acceptance
Guide the AIR6500 Mission System Hardware solution and interfaces in the MBSE architectural model
Evaluate Mission System ICT Hardware and non-functional related requirements, conduct product trades, define the sell-off approach
Work with IPTs and System Architects to establish ICT Mission
Hardware requirements and sizing for AIR6500 elements
Lead the development of Key AIR6500 technical documents and artefacts such as solution description, trade studies and definition of requirements
Work with a broad set of stakeholders, across the Lockheed
Martin Business and design partners for the achievement of common goals
Ensure AIR6500 Mission System ICT design converges to a solution which will enable the System to have an Authority to Operate and Authority to Connect to strategic networks
About you:
Experience in ICT Hardware Engineering design for Critical Mission Systems.
Excellent understanding of the system/subsystem engineering lifecycle as it relates to Hardware Engineering using standard methods and techniques/tools.
Significant experience in creating engineering documentation including technical drawings
Knowledge of Australian Regulations and Certifications
Knowledge of the ISM controls and how these are incorporated into requirements and design.
Excellent analysis skills with an ability to develop and evaluate alternatives to determine best value based on customer-provided performance weighting
Proficient in concept development
Advanced verbal communication skills including both speaking and listening to the customer
Desirable
Any knowledge of:
Knowledge of packaging for ruggedized deployable land-based systems
Model-based System engineering experience (Rhapsody experience)
Requirement decomposition (DOORSNG experience)An awareness of:
Infrastructure hardware technologies including computing (servers, clients, storage) network, cross domain solutions
Agile Engineering Methodology
Configuration Management principals and experience with configuration management tools
Special Requirements:
