Status: Full-time, Permanent

Position Summary

The Victim Services Community Advocate Administrative Specialist serves as the primary administrative and coordination point for the UNHS Victim Services program. This position works closely with the Behavioral Health Director and UNHS program and grant managers to support the administration of victim services, grant compliance, and community-based initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the main point of contact alongside the UNHS program and grant manager for Victim Services.

Prepare and submit necessary receipts, invoices, and other data for the UNHS financial department.

Review advocate employees’ transactions in BILL to ensure expenses are assigned to the correct budget and funding source.

Prepare reports and presentations as requested by the State of Utah, New Mexico, the Navajo Nation, and other agencies.

Manage grant and contract scope of work to ensure timely completion of deliverables and reporting.

Provide administrative support for victim services staff and programs.

Attend and coordinate meetings as assigned to represent UNHS Victim Services (state, community, and federal).

Focus on and support the Victim Services Community Advocate program.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in victim services, healthcare, or a related field.

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of related work experience or

5 years of experience in lieu of a degree in similar work.

Administrative experience in victim services, health care, or a related field preferred.

Familiarity with confidentiality requirements, grant administration, and financial data collection.

Financial Responsibilities

Collect and prepare financial data for reporting.

Assist in managing expenditures within approved budgets and grants.

Prepare receipts, invoices, and reconciliations for submission to finance.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Limited supervision: allocates and organizes work; may provide guidance to other staff.

No direct supervisory authority for recruitment, selection, or performance management.
