Senior Underwriter - Marine

Roles & Responsibilities

To write profitable Marine Cargo and Marine Liability business in line with the underwriting plan;

Manage underwriting risk exposures through aggregate limited and reinsurance;

Manage day-to-day operations of the Marine Continental Europe team, coverholder performance and associates reporting;

Ability to travel to meet colleagues, brokers and clients across Germany and Europe;

Analyse existing portfolio to ensure long-term profitability.

Experience Required

At least 10 years experience in the Marine insurance market;

In depth knowledge of the various transport sectors with a focus on industrial business and an overview of the transport insurance market;

Sound appreciation of the European insurance and reinsurance market.

Qualifications

University degree and/or have completed an insurance apprenticeship and ideally have successfully completed the transport specialist course;

You speak fluent German and English and ideally another foreign language.
