Dealer Sales Manager
Position Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for achieving the monthly and annual sales targets of the assigned dealership in line with the department budget. This role oversees the implementation and follow-up of new and used vehicle sales strategies and develops the sales team to meet company standards. The Sales Manager must be able to identify and anticipate market, manufacturer, and customer fluctuations.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead, control, and supervise all operations of the assigned dealership.
-Conduct one-on-one (1:1) meetings with all CIT and sales staff.
-Participate in the preparation and execution of daily, weekly, and monthly team meetings.
-Communicate and follow up on CIT with Finance Managers (F&Is).
-Oversee follow-up with prospective customer calls and the BDC, coordinating with s-sales personnel.
-Support, train, and coach sales staff on sales techniques, customer service, and new products/services.
-Monitor and review key sales performance indicators.
-Maintain open, honest, and ongoing communication with the Sales Director and the Desk Manager (if applicable).
-Ensure the CRM system is accurate and up-to-date with all client and sales information.
Requirements: Education, Experience, Language, Licenses, and Certifications
-Education & Experience: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related fields, or equivalent work experience. -Minimum of five (5) years of prior sales experience.
-Supervisory Experience: Proven experience managing personnel in the automotive industry (new and used vehicles).
-Skills: Excellent mathematical, communication, and persuasion skills.
Language: Fluent in both Spanish and English, with strong oral and written communication skills.
Technical Skills: Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and automotive software systems including CDK, DealerSocket, V-Auto, Rapid-Recond, or similar.
Analytical Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret credit reports, financial statements, and legal documents. Ability to write and interpret business correspondence, reports, and procedural manuals.
