The opportunity:
We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven Senior Associate, Trucking & Warehouse Operations to join our Ocean Ops team in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. This role will focus on day-to-day coordination of inland logistics, cross-border trucking, warehousing requests, and supporting logistics solutions across Vietnam and support for other ASEAN solutions when needed. You will work closely with vendors, internal stakeholders, and clients to ensure high-quality execution, cost control, and scalable solutions for origin logistics services. Vendor management experience is a must.
What You'll Do:
Daily Operations & Execution
Coordinate inland trucking and drayage/ cartage for air and ocean shipments across Vietnam (and other SEA countries when needed)
Review and fulfill ad-hoc trucking, warehousing, and storage service requests
Arrange timely transport for EXW shipments and ensure smooth coordination with truckers
Oversee local warehouse-only accounts and ensure consistent process adherence and service quality
Vendor & Solution Management
Source, evaluate, and onboard new logistics vendors for ad-hoc needs or network expansion
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to support cost-effective and reliable service
Maintain fixed trucking rates database and upload onto Flexport’s system.
Develop cross-border trucking solutions and multi-country consolidation models
Provide clients and internal teams with consultation on supply chain solutions, including origin logistics flow design, RFQ, Pricing & Tendering
Lead RFQ processes for origin/destination trucking and warehousing
Coordinate with Pricing, Sales, and Procurement teams on procurement platform reviews, ensure accurate trucking/warehouse input
Maintain and update buy rates in relevant systems to support accurate quoting and costing
You should have:
5-7 years of experience in logistics, trucking, or warehousing operations, preferably in an international forwarder
Good understanding of Vietnam logistics industry and logistics players.
Good understanding of Ocean origin operations, especially in EXW, DAP, and Cross-border scenarios
Good experience in managing vendors
Strong analytical and vendor negotiation skills
Able to juggle daily execution with long-term solution building
Proficient in Excel, GSheet, and logistics procurement management systems
Fluent in Vietnamese and English
A proactive communicator who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
