Position Overview: Valley View Medical Center is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will perform routine and specialized laboratory tests to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens including blood, urine, and tissue samples

Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as microscopes, analyzers, and centrifuges

Perform quality control procedures and ensure accurate test results

Document and report laboratory findings in a timely manner

Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care

Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage of reagents and supplies

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field

Current MLT certification (ASCP or equivalent)

Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a clinical laboratory setting

Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
