The role

Our client is seeking experienced Motor Mechanics to join their expanding workshop team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure top performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will have the chance to work with a wide variety of makes and models while contributing to the success of a professional and collaborative dealership.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve vehicle issues.

• Performing essential repairs and maintenance, including engine work, brake servicing, and electrical troubleshooting.

• Using diagnostic equipment to address complex mechanical problems.

• Following manufacturer specifications and industry standards to deliver high-quality results.

• Maintaining accurate and detailed service and repair records.

• Staying informed on new automotive technologies and repair techniques.

• Communicating clearly with customers to explain repair work and recommendations.

• Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised workspace.

• Collaborating with service advisors, technicians, and parts staff to ensure efficient operations.

• Participating in training and professional development opportunities.

• Mentoring apprentices and supporting junior technicians.

• Liaising with manufacturers to help resolve vehicle-specific issues when required.

About you

The successful candidate will bring:

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).

• At least three years of post-trade experience.

• Experience with the listed brands (advantageous but not essential).

• Strong organisational skills, time management, and attention to detail.

• A proactive, professional attitude with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.

• Experience diagnosing engine and electrical faults (preferred but not required).
