The role
Our client is seeking qualified and experienced Motor Mechanics to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
• Conducting inspections and diagnostics to assess mechanical issues across a variety of vehicles.
• Performing essential repairs and maintenance, including engine overhauls, brake servicing, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Using diagnostic tools to identify complex problems and deliver effective solutions.
• Following manufacturer standards and industry best practices to ensure quality service.
• Maintaining detailed and accurate service and repair records.
• Staying current with new automotive technologies and advancements.
• Communicating clearly with customers to explain repair processes and provide excellent service.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workshop.
• Collaborating with service advisors, technicians, and the parts department to ensure smooth operations.
• Participating in training and professional development programs.
• Mentoring and supporting apprentices and junior technicians.
• Assisting manufacturers with technical issues as required.
About you
The ideal candidate will bring:
• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
• At least three years of post-trade experience.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-driven approach.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with any of the listed brands (desirable but not required).
• Workshop experience diagnosing engine and electrical faults (preferred but not essential).
