The role

Our client is seeking skilled and experienced Motor Mechanics to join their growing team. This role is central to diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure performance, reliability, and safety. You will work with innovative technologies, contribute to workshop efficiency, and deliver excellent service to customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting inspections and diagnostics to identify and assess vehicle issues.

• Performing repairs and maintenance, including engine overhauls, brake servicing, and electrical troubleshooting.

• Using diagnostic tools to accurately identify complex faults and recommend solutions.

• Following manufacturer standards and industry guidelines to ensure high-quality service.

• Maintaining accurate service and repair records.

• Staying up to date with new automotive technologies and practices.

• Communicating clearly with clients, explaining repair work and recommendations.

• Ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop environment.

• Collaborating with service advisors, technicians, and the parts department for efficient operations.

• Participating in training and professional development opportunities.

• Mentoring and supporting apprentices and junior technicians.

• Assisting manufacturers with vehicle-specific diagnostic requirements when necessary.

About you

The successful candidate will bring:

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).

• At least three years of post-trade experience.

• Strong time management, organisational skills, and attention to detail.

• Demonstrated workshop experience diagnosing and resolving faults in engines and electrical systems (preferred but not essential).

• Experience with the listed brands (desirable but not required).

• A proactive and positive approach, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
