The role
An exciting opportunity exists for skilled Motor Mechanics to join our client’s award-winning team. This role is central to diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure safety, performance, and customer satisfaction. You will be working with the latest technology and innovative automotive products while contributing to a collaborative workshop environment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Conducting routine inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
• Performing repairs and maintenance, including engine overhauls, brake work, suspension adjustments, and electrical system troubleshooting.
• Using diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately assess complex automotive problems and recommend solutions.
• Following manufacturer specifications and industry standards to deliver high-quality service.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed service and repair records.
• Staying current with advancements in automotive technology and industry best practices.
• Communicating effectively with clients to explain repair procedures and recommendations.
• Ensuring a safe, clean, and well-organised workspace.
• Collaborating with service advisors, technicians, and parts staff to ensure efficiency.
• Assisting manufacturers with diagnostic processes when required.
• Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior technicians.
• Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities.
About you
The ideal candidate will bring:
• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
• At least two years of post-trade experience.
• Experience with one or more of the 14 represented brands (desirable but not essential).
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• A willingness to learn, grow, and take on challenges.
• Demonstrated workshop experience in diagnosing faults in engines and electrical systems (preferred but not essential).
