About the role

Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide high-quality electrical engineering services across sectors such as health, education, commercial, urban, civic, and recreational.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing technical solutions and preparing design documentation (drawings, specifications, reports).

• Providing technical leadership within the electrical engineering team.

• Leading and contributing to proposals and technical reports.

• Offering engineering support across offices in NT, QLD, VIC, and WA.

• Mentoring junior team members.

• Assisting with business development initiatives.

• Driving innovation in systems thinking and contributing to quality and project delivery improvements.

This is a pivotal role within the engineering team and central to the continued growth of our client’s national business.

About you

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience.

• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and the NCC.

• Demonstrated capability in the technical design of building services.

• Proficiency in preparing designs, specifications, reports, calculations, drawings, estimates, and schedules.

• Experience with design software such as Powercad and AGI/DIALux.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a national team.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Willingness to undertake short-term assignments in regional or remote areas.

• A solutions-driven mindset and commitment to process improvement.

• Strong self-motivation and the ability to motivate others.

• A desire to contribute to a collaborative, hardworking team environment.

Highly regarded attributes:

• CPEng or equivalent qualification.

• State-based engineering registration.

• Experience in the Queensland market.

• Background in high-voltage primary and secondary systems design.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
