MEMCO is looking to add Commercial Fire Proofers in Miami, FL!

Pay: $18-$20/hr BOE

Schedule: 7am - 5/5:30pm ; FT and Long-Term

Job Overview: Our customer is seeking dependable, experienced Fireproofing Applicator with strong knowledge of spray-applied intumescent coatings for commercial and industrial projects. This role requires hands-on experience in applying fireproofing materials, ensuring proper thickness, coverage, and adhesion while following project specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Apply spray-applied intumescent coatings to structural steel and other designated surfaces.

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, and priming as needed.

Operate and maintain spray equipment, hoses, and pumps.

Read and interpret blueprints, safety data sheets (SDS), and project specifications.

Inspect finished applications for quality, consistency, and compliance.

Follow OSHA, site-specific safety rules, and company procedures.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2+ years' experience applying spray-applied fireproofing or intumescent coatings.

Familiarity with different types of fireproofing materials and application techniques.

Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding, and in varying weather conditions.

Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Must have reliable transportation and valid ID.

OSHA 10 or higher certification preferred.

A pre-employment drug screen will be required for this position.
