***The role is based in a remote part of southern central Florida. You will be working 7-days a week and 12-hour shifts. All personnel will be required to live on-site, and meals and housing will be provided
Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and thorough Janitorial Workers to join our team at a custodial center. In this role, you'll be essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone.
Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and floors.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in offices, hallways, and common areas.
Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures.
Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
Clean windows and glass surfaces.
Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed, such as changing light bulbs.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a janitorial role.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
Ability to pass a medical assessment and drug screening.
Ability to operate various cleaning equipment and machinery.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical Requirements:
Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
