About the role

Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to take responsibility for delivering electrical engineering services across a variety of sectors including health, education, commercial, urban, civic, and recreational.

This role will include:

• Providing technical solutions and preparing engineering design documentation (drawings, specifications, reports).

• Offering technical leadership to the electrical engineering services team.

• Leading and contributing to the preparation of proposals and technical reports.

• Providing engineering support across offices in NT, QLD, VIC, and WA.

• Mentoring junior team members.

• Assisting with business development activities.

• Driving innovation in systems thinking and contributing to improvements in project delivery and quality processes.

This is a key role within the engineering team and integral to the future growth of our client’s national business.

About you

The successful candidate will bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in electrical engineering.

• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and NCC.

• Proven experience in the technical design of building services.

• Skills in preparing designs, specifications, reports, calculations, drawings, cost estimations, and schedules.

• Proficiency with electrical and lighting design software such as Powercad and AGI/DIALux.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across a national team.

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Willingness to undertake short-term work in remote/regional locations.

• A solutions-focused mindset with the drive to improve processes and systems.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to self-motivate and motivate others.

• Desire to be part of a collaborative and hard-working team.

Highly regarded attributes:

• CPEng or equivalent qualification.

• State-based engineering registration.

• Experience in the Queensland market.

• Experience in high voltage primary and secondary systems design.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
