Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Ohio, requiring Epic and IV skills, as well as a compact or OH RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit

Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts, typically 19:00–07:30

Some weekend shifts required in addition to weekdays

Will be required to float to different units within the organization as needed

Epic EMR used; previous Epic experience is required

Responsibilities include performing IV starts, patient assessments, lab collections, administering medications, and educating patients

Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately after contract signing; out-of-state candidates must be able to access fingerprinting services in Ohio or complete a mailed packet upon receipt

Requests for time off must be submitted with initial application and built into the contract

Locals are accepted at the same pay rate

Scrub and dress code details to be provided during onboarding

Requirements

Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration

Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Tele RN experience required

Current BLS certification required

IV certification required

Skills required: IV starts, patient monitoring, lab draws, medication administration, and patient education

Must have graduated from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager or director

Current employees of the health system are not eligible for travel assignments at this location

Former employees are eligible if separated for 6 months or more
