Contract type: Full Time (37.5 Hours) – Permanent

Location: Brighton Head Office - Britannia House

To ensure that Study Group is fully compliant with its obligations as they relate to the issuing of Student visas as a UKVI Sponsor with a track record of compliance.

Work closely with colleagues across the UK business to provide guidance and expertise for both students and staff for all matters concerning the UK Home Office and student visas.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Providing an advisory service on current UKVI and immigration and Irish visa related matters to campus staff, students and internal/external stakeholders to ensure compliance with the regulations - across the student journey

Manage the Sponsor Management System (SMS) as a Level 1 user

Maintaining information and records in the Student Management Systems, including study location changes, withdrawals, early course completions and visa refusals

Assess application documents such as financial documents and supporting information to enable the compliant delivery of Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)

Issue Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) as and when required

Run regular audits of campus operations as well as admissions activities to ensure compliance to UKVI regulations and accuracy of student data

Work closely with dedicated campuses and ensure that necessary support and training are provided

Organise visa workshops/training events for staff, students and agents as required to advise on UKVI policy and procedures

Assist campuses with registration activities as required during busy intake periods

Visit campuses providing support/training as and when

Adopt a proactive approach to the development of the role by identifying and deploying continuous improvement initiatives

Respect the confidential nature of student and company information by complying with GDPR practices

Undertake additional duties as required by the line manager

ABOUT YOU

UKCISA or equivalent immigration training or Continuing Professional Development

Proven experience of working within a challenging operational and/or student facing environment

Good understanding of the UKVI policies and procedures in relation to UK immigration in the education sector.

Experience of using the UKVI Sponsor Management System (SMS) on a regular basis

Experienced in delivering training both in person and online for a wide range of audience

Experienced in working with Student Information Systems

Strong customer service skills

Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure

High lever user of MS office, especially Excel and Word

Able to communicate complex information/requirements to a wide range of audiences in a clear and easy to understand way

Be self-motivated, versatile and have the ability to work on own initiative with little supervision.

Good attention to detail

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise, multi-task and meet tight deadlines

To be able to work as an individual as well as part of a team
