User Access Associate

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Temporary services is seeking a Temp User Access Associate. to work in the campus library.

This position requires Customer Service experience, computer skills, prior library experience is desired.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Assists patrons with ready-reference and directional questions and inquiries about library.

Creates and updates patron records; creates records for library material to allow for circulation;

processes guest researcher accounts for unaffiliated patrons.

Assists users in the use of specialized equipment.

Supervises and mentors student workers and assists with recruitment, screening, hiring, training,

and performance evaluation.

Collects and compiles statistics including library usage and circulation of materials.

Carries out interlibrary loan procedures for incoming and outgoing library materials.

Documents and responds to building problems.

Serves on committees and participates in staff development opportunities.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Mon - Fri 6:30am - 3:00pm

Hourly Pay $16

Bachelor's degree required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement

Travel:
