The Prairie Recovery Center is a 30-bed co-gender residential substance abuse treatment facility located in Round Top, TX that specializes in co-occurring mental health issues. The Prairie Recovery Center treats a variety of special populations including professionals, veterans and first responders. Nestled in 46+ acres of lush green fields in Round Topa mere 90 minutes away from Houston, Austin and San AntonioThe Prairie Recovery Center is a peaceful, countryside destination with a late 1800s farmhouse serving as the heart of the expansive facility. Cozy guest cabins and common areas are outfitted with beautiful furnishings and designer antique decor, while panoramic views of the Texas Hill Country encircle the property.

Position Summary:

The full time Family Therapist at TPRC is part of the clinical team that creates the space and container to facilitate the healing and wellness of clients who admit to treat their substance use disorder. As the Family Therapist, the clinician will provide the support and therapeutic services related to the family dynamics of SUD and its recovery and perform in a general therapeutic role with the clinical team.

Qualifications for Employment:

Education:

Fully licensed LMFT, LPC, or LCSW

LCDC in addition preferred

Experience:

2+ years in substance use disorder treatment experience in treating co-occurring disorders

Experience working with families impacted by and recovering from substance use disorder

KEY COMPETENCIES

Knowledge of ASAM Criteria

Ability to interact with electronic health records

Ability to facilitate telehealth

Ability to utilize electronic team communication

Ability to provide individual, group, family, and couples counseling

Ability to facilitate psychoeducational group material

Knowledge of confidentiality, HIPAA, and privacy guidelines

Multicultural competency

Job Requirements:

Clinician will provide family therapy to clients admitted to TPRC at least once weekly after admission.

When needed, Clinician will provide family therapy solo with client with an emphasis on family content as it relates to SUD, treatment, and recovery and family dynamics

Clinician will introduce the family program to the client and client family and onboard and orient both to the TPRC family programming using electronic mail and phone.

Clinician will host the Family Intensive Weekend once monthly.

Clinician will document all sessions, groups, calls, and other communication with family, referral sources, and appropriate stakeholders in client care per TPRC and compliance guidelines.

Clinician will assist with group process and SOAR (psychoeducational) groups as assigned.

Clinician may be asked to attend quarterly events celebrating milestones.

Clinician is expected to be available for clinical stabilization on site.

Clinician will assist other clinical staff as part of a team.

Clinician will attend and participate in weekly staff meeting.

Clinician will attend other meetings necessary for team communication and functioning.
