Career Architecture Title: Engineer – Project Engineer IInnJob Ad Title: Geotechnical Project Engineer nRequisition Number: Year-Location#-TBDnnJob Summary:nAs a Geotechnical Project Engineer, you will oversee the management and execution of geotechnical engineering services across Kentucky and neighboring states.

Your projects will encompass subsurface explorations, slope stability evaluations, construction support services, and more, supporting a variety of civil infrastructure projects including roadways, bridges, and buildings.

Key responsibilities include:nnData Evaluation: Evaluate and synthesize intricate geotechnical laboratory test results and field data to inform project decisions.nEngineering Expertise: Apply robust geotechnical engineering principles to analyze shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, and settlement.

Provide recommendations for ground improvement where necessary.nCommunication: Regularly communicate with subcontractors and external clients to ensure project alignment.

Assist in training junior staff and contribute to business development efforts for S&ME.nTechnical Reporting: Write detailed reports, prepare comprehensive proposals, and actively participate in marketing and business development pursuits.nLeadership: Lead by example, actively supporting internal policies and practices, including health and safety, risk management, project management, and quality management.nnnMinimum Qualifications:nnBachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Mining, or a related engineering fieldnMinimum of 4 years of professional experiencenProfessional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtainnExcellent computer skills including at a minimum, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCADnnnWorking Conditions and Physical Demands:nYou are willing and able to perform the physical demands of this position with the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment:nnWorking outdoors in varying weather conditions outside normal business hours, as needednWalking over rough and uneven terrain, maneuvering field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrownRoutinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs, (field/laboratory samples and equipment) nTraveling out-of-town and possibly overnight for assignments as neededn
