An exciting opportunity has become available for a field Electrician. This position is based out of our Haileybury, Ontario facility.

Key Specific Responsibilities include:

Strict adherence to existing testing procedures and processes

Undertake project planning tasks, including job planning and EHS risk management

Perform HV electrical testing across all HV assets such as Drill rigs, cabling, generators, motors, transformers and switchgear

Record test results on the relevant test certificates and compile test reports [COC’s]

Liaise with client representativesKey Skills and experience required:

Infallible focus on Safety

Current electrical license

Must be able to build High-Voltage and Low-Voltage electrical wiring

Must be able to build junction boxes, power distribution boxes, control panels and fuse boxes

Must have an excellent knowledge in High-Voltage safety of batteries and electrical wiring

Must be able to instrument the electric powertrains components for Power analysis, Current probes, Voltage probes etc.

Must be well versed in reading and following electrical wiring schematics for safe system integration

Should be qualified in High-Voltage system implementation.

Strong knowledge in automotive Network design (CAN, Ethernet)

Good understanding of engine and vehicle controls interface

Must be able to lead technically and provide guidance

Must be able to propose technical solutions

Experience in preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance techniques for electrical assets

Strong computer & communication skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook essential)

Ability to work both autonomously & as part of a team

Excellent spoken & written communication

Strong organizational skills
