Greeting and Seating Guests:
Welcome guests as they enter the restaurant.
Ask for the number of people in the party and assign them to an appropriate table.
Ensure guests are seated in a timely manner, taking into account the availability of tables and reservations.
Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and any relevant information about the restaurant.
Managing Reservations:
Take reservations over the phone or in person.
Keep track of upcoming reservations and make sure guests are seated at the right times.
Manage waitlists when the restaurant is busy, ensuring customers are informed about wait times.
Providing Information:
Answer basic questions about the restaurant, such as menu items, specials, or hours of operation.
Direct guests to amenities, such as restrooms or the bar area.
Handling Customer Requests and Concerns:
Address any immediate concerns or complaints from guests.
Communicate customer needs to waitstaff or management.
Ensure guests have everything they need for a comfortable dining experience.
Managing the Waiting Area:
Keep the waiting area clean and organized.
Monitor the flow of guests in and out of the restaurant to prevent overcrowding in the waiting area.
Coordinating with Servers and Kitchen Staff:
Communicate with waitstaff to ensure they are aware of seating assignments and any special requests from customers.
Ensure that tables are cleared and ready for the next guest after each seating.
Answering the Phone and Handling Takeout Orders:
