About the role
Plan and supervise warehouse activities including receiving, movement of materials and dispatch in the warehouse to support manufacturing and shipping plans.
Design and implement sustainable strategies for inventory accuracy compliance. Actively participate in continuous improvement projects, supported by lean six sigma culture and tools.
Key Duties and Resposibilities:
Supervise the operation of receiving and delivering materials.
Ensure that raw materials and MRO procedures are followed as policies indicate, correctly and on time.
Monitor proper labelling of incoming and outgoing materials.
Monitor the timely processing of all inventories and its issues, transfers, and movement in accordance with established control procedures.
Keep warehouse area inventories, organization, supplies, and documentation clean and always organized.
Motivate and direct employees to comply with company policies, procedures and safety standards.
Act as custodian of the Physical Inventory.
Coordinate all activities to obtain accurate results in periodic or annual physical inventories.
Review and update written Warehouse procedures to reflect Warehouse functions conceptually and effectively for further review and management approval.
Design and implement sustainable strategy for inventory accuracy compliance.
Actively participate in continuous improvement projects, supported by the culture and tools of lean six sigma.
Review and update written Warehouse procedures to reflect Warehouse functions conceptually and effectively for further review and management approval.
Evaluate the performance of Warehouse employees and recommend salary reviews, promotions, transfers, warnings, and terminations. Train employees when required.
Comply with all company procedures and policies.
Be available to work on projects or tasks assigned by your supervisor.
Request purchases of equipment and supplies necessary for the Warehouse.
Responsible for supervising the Material handlers in the warehouse area.
Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of computerized systems for production, warehouse and inventory control such as BPCS, SAP and WM.
Knowledge of GMP’s, Federal and State regulatory requirements, Company Policies and Procedures and Documentation Practices.
Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written) in English is desirable.
Knowledge of using PC and applications such as MS Office.
SAP/BPCS Experience in Warehouse, Planning, Forecasting or Purchasing is mandatory.
A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing-related experience with Warehouse Management and Inventory Control is required.
Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related degree.
Professional Certification in APICS, and CPIM, CPM or CIRM is desirable.
