About the Role
As a Job Coach, you will provide direct support to individuals with disabilities at their job sites, helping them learn job tasks, develop workplace skills, and navigate employment challenges. You’ll work closely with both participants and employers to ensure a positive and productive work experience.
Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one job coaching and support to individuals at their workplaces.
Assist with learning job tasks, workplace expectations, and professional skills.
Collaborate with employers to foster an inclusive and supportive work environment.
Monitor progress and provide feedback, encouragement, and problem-solving strategies.
Enter and update information using the iPad, ensuring accurate and accessible records.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
Comfortable ascending and descending stairs.
Capacity to push or pull wheelchairs when necessary.
Proficiency in speaking, reading, hearing, and understanding technical written materials.
Lift up to 25 lbs using safe lifting techniques
Full awareness of environmental stimuli to ensure a safe and responsive environment.
Willingness to be trained in and implement crisis management and safety techniques

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least one (1) year of experience working with persons with developmental and/or other disabilities in individual and/or group settings preferred
Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality regarding persons served and other related information
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Technical Proficiency: Ability to effectively navigate and utilize iPad features and applications for daily tasks, including managing schedules, communication, and data entry.
Ability to complete tasks with numerous interruptions
Compassion and respect for persons with disabilities
Ability to demonstrate patience and understanding because people served may have intellectual, emotional, or behavioral challenges, in addition to physical limitations
May need to be available during any disasters, per disaster plan
Must have reliable phone
Valid certification in CPR/First Aid (Training included)
