People Solutions are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to work for our well-established clients based in Rochdale.

This role will become permanent for the right candidate after a successful twelve-week period.

Shifts:

Rates of pay:

£19.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties:

Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Driver will be:

Drive Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently

Trunking/ Store deliveries

Between 2-4 deliveries and collections per shift

Communicate any issues / delays effectively

Ensuring all loads are safe and secure

Provide excellent customer service

Ensure vehicle is well presented

Comply with driving rules and regulations

Essential Skills:

The skills needed to be a HGV Class 1 Driver are:-

Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence

At least twelve months experience driving Category CE vehicles

No more than six penalty points (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements)

Driver CPC Card and digital tachograph card

Right to work in the UK and able to prove this

English language skills for safety

Prepared to undergo a background check and drug and alcohol test

Training:

Drivers must take a written assessment and driving assessment, followed by a two-hour paid induction

Industry related training and ongoing support
