We are currently hiring Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanics to join our team and help keep our operations running smoothly.

Position Overview

The Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanics will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy construction equipment in a shop / field setting. This position requires mechanical experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, dump trucks, and other construction vehicles

Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections

Troubleshoot engine, hydraulic, transmission, and electrical systems

Overhaul engines / transmissions

Complete work orders and maintenance logs accurately

Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Communicate effectively with Shop Foreman and Project Superintendent

Assist with parts identification and occasional ordering

Ensure all work is done in compliance with safety regulations and company policies

Requirements

Experience as a heavy equipment and diesel mechanic

Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs

Ability to operate diagnostic tools and basic shop equipment

Willingness to work on various types of equipment and in a hands-on role

Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)

Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and self-motivated

Skills

Welding and fabrication experience

Familiarity with DOT compliance and inspection standards

Experience working in a highway or civil construction setting
