Commercial Construction Superintendent

Fit Recruiting is seeking a skilled Commercial Construction Superintendent for a very reputable construction firm in Mobile, AL. The Superintendent is responsible for leading all field operations from project kickoff through closeout, ensuring projects are built safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role oversees subcontractors, vendors, and field staff, driving daily coordination, safety compliance, schedule execution, and quality control. Salary range is $80K-$100K DOE + benefits.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operation of construction projects

Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed

Communicate project progress with clients and project managers

Manage subcontractors and construction site organization

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in construction area

Strong project management and communications skills

Ability to read construction documents

Familiarity with regulatory construction standards

Bachelors Degree required

Willingness to travel regionally as needed (occasional nights/weekends for critical operations or turnovers).

Proficiency with Procore (Daily Log, Drawings/Photos, RFIs) and knowledge of Microsoft Project concepts (logic ties, float, critical path).

Strong blueprint/specification reading across CSI Divisions 1–16; practical understanding of building systems (MEP coordination, envelope, structural).

Preferred: SWPPP/QCI familiarity, rigging/signaling knowledge, and AHJ/inspection coordination experience.
