Air Freight Export Associate

Owns the job file and also has responsibility for creating and updating

relevant documentation and Customer Invoices in the system.

Purpose of the role

The primary role of the Air Export Specialist is to efficiently manage and oversee the movement of goods by air, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. This includes coordination with clients, vendors, customs, and carriers to facilitate timely and accurate delivery of shipments while maintaining cost-efficiency and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Air Export Operations

Coordinate the booking of shipments with air carriers for export, ensuring optimal routing and cost-effectiveness

Prepare and process all necessary export documentation, including air waybills and customer documents

Ensure that shipments comply with international trade regulations and customer requirements

Monitor the status of export shipments, provide updates to clients, and resolve any issues that may arise

Customer Service and Communication

Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their air export shipments

Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, airlines, and customs authorities, and third-party vendors

Cost Management and optimization:

Adhere to rates from Air procurement team on air carriers, and other service providers to achieve the best possible pricing

Review and approve freight invoices, ensuring charges align with agreed-upon rates and services rendered.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and corporate policies

Maintain accurate records of all transactions, following company and regulatory guidelines for documentation retention
