Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in public administration, public policy, city and regional planning, business administration, political science or related area OR equivalent work experience.

Experience in program and/or project administration.

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with experience dealing with many types of people at various levels.

Computer proficiency with experience using word processing, spreadsheet and database software required.

Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel to various sites around Ohio.

Business Incentives Analyst

Where policy meets production – incentivizing Ohio’s creative economy. The Office of Tax Incentives within the Ohio Department of Development is presently hiring for a Business Incentives Analyst to administer the Motion Picture Tax Credit Program.

What you’ll be doing:

Administer and oversee tax credit programs to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and program guidelines.

Review and process program-related documents including confidential financial information, applications, reports, and requests for credits.

Provide technical assistance and customer service to tax credit recipients, applicants, filmmakers, producers, and other stakeholders.

Respond to inquiries about filming, production, and program compliance; prepare information for publication on program websites.

Collaborate with regional film commissions and other partners to facilitate program administration.

Prepare program documents such as procedures, guidelines, rules, reports, and annual program summaries.

Work independently and with teams on special projects within the Office of Tax Incentives and the Strategic Investments Division.
