Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of recent MRI experience and ARRT certification to perform advanced neuro, abdominal, and musculoskeletal imaging.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital MRI department supporting both inpatient and outpatient imaging
Average daily caseload of 35–40 cases
Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
Exam types include neuro, abdominal, musculoskeletal, pelvis, chest, brain, face/neck, hip, knee, and shoulder imaging
Special procedures include fusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, ADC mapping, subtraction, MIP, MRP, perfusion, spectroscopy, spin echo, surface coils, T1 & T2 weighted imaging, and spine imaging (cervical, lumbar, thoracic)
Department uses Siemens MRI equipment and PACS; Epic electronic documentation
Day shift schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with every third weekend required
Duties include conducting advanced MRI scans, post-processing, and working with multidisciplinary teams
All fingerprints must be completed promptly in accordance with Ohio requirements
Locals are accepted at the same pay rate
Former employees are eligible if 6 months have elapsed since prior employment
Current employees at any Ohio State University hospital location are not eligible
RTO (time off) requests must be included at submission
Scrub requirements will be outlined by the department
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years recent MRI experience required
Active ARRT and BLS certifications required
Valid Ohio state license required if applicable
Experience in adult ICU, adult outpatient, and pediatric acute care settings is required
Proficiency with Siemens MRI systems, PACS, and Epic EMR preferred
Must provide 2 professional references, one from a supervisor or manager
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
