Responsibilities
All Ophthalmic Assistant duties and responsibilities AND,
Performs diagnostic testing such as visual acuity eye exams, lensometry, keratometry, refractometry, and tonometry
Obtains Ophthalmic Imaging: OCT, Topography, Pachymetry, Specular Microscopy, Manual A-Scans and IOL Master.
Instructs patients on proper eyecare.
Adhere to regulations regarding drug samples and drug sample logs.
Ensures medication and supply expiration dates are current.
Other duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Possess a minimum of a HS Diploma or equivalent along with and meet the following criteria:
Ophthalmic Assistant criteria AND,
One-year prior experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or Ophthalmic Assistant OR
Two years prior experience as a technician in an Optometry Clinic OR
Successful completion of OSUP’s Ophthalmic Personnel Training Program
COA Preferred
Pay Range
USD $21.65 - USD $32.48 /Hr.
