People Solutions are recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to work for our well-established clients based in Rochdale.

This role will become permanent for the right candidate after a successful twelve-week period.

Shifts:

Rates of Pay: £16.50 per hour

Day to Day Duties:

Your duties as a HGV Class 2 Driver are:

Drive Category C vehicles safely and efficiently

Work as a part of the team delivering products to customer premises on a multidrop basis – an average of twelve drops per day

Ensuring all loads are safe and secure

Unloading the stock from the cages during delivery

Heavy lifting may be involved

Provide excellent customer service

Ensure vehicle is well presented

Comply with driving rules and regulations

Essential Skills

The skills you require as a HGV Class 2 Driver are:

Valid UK Category C Driving Licence

At least twelve months experience driving Category C vehicles

No more than six penalty points (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements)

Driver CPC Card and digital tachograph card

Right to work in the UK and able to prove this

English language skills for safety

Willing to undergo a background check and a drug and alcohol test

Must be reasonably physically fit as heavy lifting involved

Training:

Drivers will be required to take a written assessment and driving assessment, followed by a two-hour paid induction

Industry related training and ongoing support
