CNC Horizontal Borer Setter - Day and Night Shifts

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a CNC Horizontal Borer Setter with Heidenhain control experience to join our client based in Tameside on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering an excellent hourly rate, overtime earning potential, weekly pay, and the chance to work on complex, heavy components.

We have fixed day and night shifts available.

Shifts:

Days: Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 and Friday 08:00 – 13:00

Nights: Monday – Thursday 18:00 – 06:00

Salary: £34,500 per annum (overtime = time +1/3 weekdays and time + 1/2 weekends)

Day to Day Duties:

Your duties as a Horizontal Borer Setter are:

Set, operate, and program CNC Horizontal Boring/Milling machines using Heidenhain controls

Produce medium to heavy workpieces to precise tolerances from customer drawings

Carry out self-inspection to maintain quality

Work closely with production team to ensure delivery schedules are met

Support overtime requirements when needed

Essential Skills:

The essential skills required as a Horizontal Borer Setter are:

Proven CNC horizontal boring/milling background with Heidenhain programming

Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings

Strong understanding of quality standards and self-inspection processes

Flexible to work days or nights, with overtime

Training:

Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout
