Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Tech with at least 2 years of cath lab and strong electrophysiology experience for a Level II trauma acute care hospital.
Responsibilities
Work in a short term acute care facility with Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma designation
Assignment is in the cardiac catheterization lab
Daily caseload per technologist is 7 to 20 cases
Procedures include balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, Rotablader, left/right heart catheterization, arrhythmia induction, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, conduction studies, EP evaluation, AICD and pacemaker insertion, Watchman, Tilt Table studies, and Afib ablations (RF and Cryo)
Must be able to scrub, monitor, circulate, and perform EKGs
Cerner EMR is used; Cerner experience preferred
Day shift is 4x10s, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
On-call required as needed
No weekend or floating to other units or facilities required
Performs a full range of cardiac cath lab and electrophysiology procedures including advanced ablations and device insertions
No block scheduling; RTO may be discussed during interview but not guaranteed in contract
Scrub colors are unrestricted
Smoke free work environment
Pre-employment compliance documents are due 10 days before start date
Completion of annual and pre-start modules is required
Parking is complimentary
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of cath lab and electrophysiology experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong stimming and advanced cardiac procedure experience required
Experience with Cerner charting preferred
FL or compact state license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
Must live at least 100 miles from the facility per radius rule
COVID-19 vaccination required; medical or religious exemptions accepted
Must pass a pre-employment EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)
Return staff must have a 1-year waiting period after permanent employment before returning as a traveler unless in designated specialties
