Junior Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Birdi Systems, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Engineer with AutoCAD and Revit experience to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in security system design and integration, while contributing to projects that protect our nation’s critical infrastructure in aviation, transportation, and government sectors.

You’ll use your engineering foundation and design software skills to create accurate drawings, support system deployments, and collaborate with a skilled team of engineers and field professionals. Training and certifications in advanced electronic security technologies will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Develop permit drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.

Update floor plans with equipment layouts and wiring diagrams.

Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to support design and implementation.

Document system configurations, QC processes, and diagnostic evaluations.

Collaborate with engineering, project management, and field teams to ensure accurate designs and successful deployments.

Inspect work to ensure compliance with code, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field (recent graduates encouraged to apply).

Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.

Ability to read technical drawings, wiring schematics, and fabrication specifications.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and mechanical/electrical aptitude.

Hands-on experience with electronics, low-voltage wiring, or system integration is a plus (not required).

U.S.-based, with the ability to meet government badging requirements and a valid driver’s license.
