Job Summary:
The Blown and Cast Film Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring blown film and cast film extrusion equipment to produce plastic film products that meet quality and production standards. This role ensures safe machine operation, efficient production, and consistent output while minimizing downtime and waste.

Key Responsibilities:
· Machine Operation & Setup
o Operate and monitor blown and/or cast film extrusion lines.
o Set up extrusion equipment, including dies, winders, and related machinery.
o Adjust machine settings (temperature, speed, pressure, thickness, etc.) to maintain quality standards.
· Production & Quality Control
o Inspect film for gauge, clarity, color, and defects.
o Perform quality checks per company and customer specifications.
o Record production data, material usage, and downtime accurately.
o Identify and correct processing issues to minimize scrap and maintain efficiency.
· Maintenance & Safety
o Conduct routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on equipment.
o Report mechanical issues and assist maintenance teams as needed.
o Adhere to all workplace safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.
· Teamwork & Communication
o Work closely with other operators, shift leads, and quality personnel.
o Train and mentor junior operators or helpers.
o Communicate production concerns and improvement opportunities to supervisors.

Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus).
· Minimum 1–2 years' experience in film extrusion (blown or cast) preferred.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to read and interpret production orders and quality specifications.
· Basic math and computer skills for measurements and production reporting.
· Physically able to stand, lift, bend, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
