Job Title: Survey CAD Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Survey CAD Technician to join an established civil engineering firm in Columbus, OH.
In this role, you will collaborate with survey field crews to create detailed CAD drawings and maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Your work will encompass a variety of surveys such as topographic, boundary, ALTA, as-built, construction staking, and utility.
Projects span across local municipalities, commercial site development, residential subdivisions, K-12, retail, parks, and roadways.

Responsibilities + Collaborate with survey managers and project teams to understand project specifications and scope.
+ Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other software to create 2D and/or 3D designs for land surveying projects.
+ Prepare topographic, ALTA, boundary, and other types of survey mapping drawings.
+ Work with field crews to accurately draft survey data.
+ Create layouts for land surveys, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations.
+ Prepare easement descriptions and exhibits.
Essential Skills + Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
+ Experience in land surveying and survey CAD.
+ Ability to prepare topographic, ALTA, and boundary surveys.
Additional Skills & Qualifications + Survey CAD experience is strongly preferred; experience from other civil engineering disciplines is acceptable.
+ A degree in civil engineering or CAD is preferred.
+ Capacity to take training and effectively apply it to daily responsibilities.
Work Environment This position requires working 100% in the office.

The survey group is rapidly expanding and places a strong emphasis on internal promotions, offering one-on-one training with licensed engineers and conducting annual performance reviews that may include pay increases and bonuses.
