Grinder Operator (Nights only)

Responsible for grinding PVC lineals that are outside VEKA's specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for grinding off standard PVC lineals

Ensures all grinded lineals are clean and free of weather strip or other contamination.

Properly operates grinder within operating parameters and safety requirements.

Maintains excellent housekeeping in grinding area.

Operates forklift to move full and empty racks in and out of grinding room.

Wears all required PPE for grinder operation.

All other duties as assigned.

Skills:

Mechanical aptitude

Dependable and punctual

Ability to work independently and with accuracy

Drive to take initiative

Good oral communication skills

Good collaboration skills in a tactful and diplomatic manner

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Certified Forklift Operator license required

NOTE: THIS IS A 12 HOUR SHIFT SCHEDULE (7p-7a)
