Machine Design Engineer

Job Title: Machine Design EngineerJob Description We are seeking a skilled Machine Design Engineer to join a dynamic team specializing in designing and manufacturing industrial automated equipment.

This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects and develop expertise in machine design.

Responsibilities + Utilize Solidworks to create 3D models/renderings for automated equipment or processes.

+ Design safe and cost-effective machine concepts, parts models, and assemblies based on customer requirements.

+ Detail parts and assembly drawings/tolerances and release them to manufacturing.

+ Research and order components for machine design, including pneumatic cylinders, valves, air prep systems, bearings, motors, drive systems, sensors, and other devices used in automated machinery.

+ Document bills of material.

+ Create fabrication drawings.

Essential Skills + 2+ years of machine design experience, with a strong preference for industrial automation.

+ Proficient in Solidworks design.

+ Hands-on experience with tooling, machining, or fabrication.

+ Experience designing automated equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associates or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.

+ Experience with Autodesk Inventor and project management.

+ Jig, fixture, and tooling design experience.

Work Environment The role is primarily based in an office environment with occasional interactions on the shop floor.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewis Center, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
