Overview The Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator (TPIC) coordinates the quality improvement process for the Shands at UF Level I Trauma Center, Pediatric Trauma Referral Center and the Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Acute Care Centers.

The TPIC is responsible for monitoring the process and outcomes of adult and pediatric trauma patients through the continuum of care.

Additionally, the TPIC ensures compliance with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) standards.

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Current RN License in state of Florida.

BSN required, MSN preferred.

Three to five years of recent clinical nursing experience related to the area of practice.

Must have ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives and to be self-directed.

Exhibits behaviors that meet the cultural expectations of the organization and have sound organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'non-frequent driver' NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current RN License in state of Florida.

Current Trauma Nurse Core Course Provider (TNCCP) and/or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) verifications preferred.
