POSITION SUMMARY
Taylor Northwest is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Specialist / Construction Estimator to support both environmental compliance and civil estimating efforts. This is a full-time role that blends office and field work with occasional travel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in environmental compliance and sustainability practices, paired with the ability to support estimating and preconstruction planning with accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Environmental Support:
Provide technical support to operations
Coordinate and ensure compliance with air, water, and land use permitting
Maintain Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Erosion and Sediment Control Plans (ESCP), and Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC)
Conduct field sampling, inspections, audits, and prepare associated reports
Assist in waste management programs and sustainability initiatives
Estimating Support:
Assist in the preparation of accurate project estimates using HCSS estimating software
Perform quantity takeoffs and support value engineering processes.
Attend pre-bid and project meetings, review specifications, and collaborate with the project team
Review project costs with accounting and support change order tracking

Position Requirements
Degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational and time management skills
Valid Driver's License required
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
HCSS and CAD/GIS experience preferred
Understanding of environmental regulations and civil construction processes is a plus
