Description
Crosby Energy Services is looking for an electrician to work in the Mansfield LA area. 5/2 schedule.
Inspect, install, repair, adjust, construct, modify, calibrate, program, and wire all electrical and electronic apparatus, devices, and circuits (any voltages) in the plant or assigned area.
Assist in designing and servicing various types of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, electro-mechanical, radio-controlled equipment, as well as integrating, indicating, or graphic electrical, electronic, or mechanical instruments and control equipment.
Ensure equipment meets safety and OEM specifications.
Work in a manufacturing environment under normal conditions.
Work a rotating shift schedule with possible overtime.
Lift materials and products up to 30 pounds.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, work boots, and hardhats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not allowed.
Responsibilities:
Maintain positive working relationships with operating personnel to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
Responsible for electrical maintenance of machinery and equipment within the facility.
Analytically troubleshoot and resolve electrical malfunctions to OEM specifications.
Regularly check the performance of electrical equipment.
Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and process work orders.
Ensure a clean and safe work area and adhere to PPE policies and safety rules.
Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
Attend and participate in Line-Out meetings to communicate daily activities between incoming and outgoing Maintenance shift crews.
Make necessary equipment repairs during the shift to maintain equipment availability for production.
Complete Maintenance shift reports and corresponding paperwork.
Participate in production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers related to equipment reliability and availability.
Perform required Daily, Weekly, Quarterly, and Annual check sheets as established by the Maintenance Department and OEM suppliers.
Prepare reports, forms, records, and related paperwork for the assigned area.
Requirements
Electrical certification or technical degree.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial electrical maintenance and repair preferred.
Ability to read documents (in English) such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure/equipment manuals, and electrical/mechanical schematic drawings.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence (in English).
Effective communication skills with co-workers (in English).
Knowledge of Spanish as a second language beneficial but not required.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
Knowledge of general manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
Proficiency in Word Processing, Development, Design, Internet, Order processing systems, and Project Management software.
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, Level I and II communication systems.
Understanding of ladder logic and advanced troubleshooting skills with equipment software language.
Previous experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens equipment preferred but not required.
Flexible or rotating schedule with possible overtime.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English clearly and effectively.
