The Headhunters Recruitment has partnered with Pentco Industries Inc. to add an Operations Manager to their growing team in Surrey, BC.

Reporting to the President, we re looking for a self-driven, motivated and results oriented leader. Besides building relationships and finding efficiencies, the Operations Manager is responsible for managing all production, including Soft Touch, Fullwrap and Phase2, Distribution, Vinyl, Shipping and Maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members thrive and organizational objectives are met.
Develop and maintain KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) related to labor, material and overhead variances for the respective divisions; Paint / Laminate / Distribution / Vinyl.
Implement cost control measures as required.
Take a data-driven approach to continuous improvements in processes and production systems through regular KPI analysis in order to drive company s profitability in accordance with annual budgets.
Develop cross functional teams to improve production flows and efficiencies (Kaizen / Six Sigma).
Motivate employees to optimize performance to allow career progression and development as well as achieving the company s profitability objectives.
Evaluate employee performance by analyzing and interpreting metrics and data.
Assist the President/CEO and board of directors with strategic planning initiatives and executing on strategic growth initiatives.
Analyze and comment on monthly production variance related to the respective divisions.
Review and manage inventory levels to maximize turns and minimize slow moving inventory.
Develop and build a relationship with key suppliers to understand supply chain issues and stay ahead of any changes.
Constantly review equipment needs and make recommendations for new equipment that will improve efficiency.
Track the maintenance on all equipment and ensure the preventative maintenance schedule is adhered to.
Conduct weekly production meetings with all Team Leads to ensure customer expectations are met.
Safety - Ensure all departments are trained and in compliance with Work Safe rules and guidelines.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Continuously improve industry knowledge through market research and relationship building.
Respond to ad hoc duties or reporting requested by the Chief Executive Officer or Owners to ensure the success of the company s manufacturing operations. What the successful candidate will bring:
10+ years manufacturing experience in a leadership/management function.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other Manufacturing coursework
Manufacturing experience with building products preferred
Intellectual curiosity, particularly in the context of a complex manufacturing environment.
Future-forward thinker and ability to implement ROI-driven capital investments.
Strong MS Office Skills - Must be proficient in importing and exporting data from an MS Access System.
In return, you can expect:
Base salary - $125,000 - $150,000 plus bonus
