HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Level I for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.

Shift: 12 hours, nights

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location: Columbus, OH 43210

Travel/Contract – 13 Weeks

Shifts: Nights – 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Weekend Requirement: Based on unit needs

Float Requirement: Yes – to other Oncology MS and PCU units

Patient Population:

Oncology patients (solid tumor, hematology)

Non-oncology patients with diagnoses like COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, post-op, etc.

Correctional patients from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections

Work Environment & Safety:

Locked corrections unit; entry controlled by Corrections Officers (COs)

CO to inmate ratio: 1:2

Staff safety prioritized with clear protocols and support

Required Experience & Skills:

Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience

EPIC charting experience required

Oncology experience preferred

Strong skills in:

Central/PICC/Peripheral line management

Blood product administration

Dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Oxygen therapies (HFNC, CPAP/BiPAP, nasal cannula)

Tracheostomy care

Heparin protocols, insulin drips (titration preferred)

Pre/Post Hemodialysis care

Feeding tube management

Required Certifications:

BLS – Required

ACLS, NIHSS – Preferred

Licensure Requirements:

Valid Compact RN License or Ohio RN License required at submission

Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
