For a Program Director, this is the stuff of dreams - help create and initiate a vision that will allow students to be apprenticed into expertise through inquiry.
Assist in developing, communicating, implementing, and evaluating a shared vision of teaching and learning that leads to students' academic growth and school improvement.Support, manage and oversee the school's after-school and summer organization, operation, and use of resources.Communicate and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders.
This includes but is not limited to written and verbal communication and the use of social media.Support engagement, motivation, and goal orientation of the students and families.
We want to collaborate with a leader who can turn a vision into reality.
The successful candidate needs to understand what good instruction is and looks like (for children and adults) and be able to take educated risks that allow students and families to fulfill their potential.
We want someone who is organized, completes managerial tasks on time, and is able to assess the program throughout the life of the grant.
While this is all about this five-year project (and maybe more when we re-apply), day one is good, too.
These are things like compensation ($60,000 plus benefits), the district, the staff, and the location.
