About the Role
We are currently recruiting a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our Beef City Feedlot Maintenance Team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position forms part of a small team that is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the feedlot, farm infrastructure and plant.
Your key responsibilities include:
Ensuring maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient preventative and scheduled maintenance
General welding and fabrication duties
Engaging in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments and appliances
Ensuring that all work is carried out to meet the Company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations
Supporting other projects that may arise
About You
Cert lll Engineering Mechanical Trade qualifications
Minimum 2 years post-trade experience
Previous welding and fabrication experience preferred
Experience welding and cutting with S/S Tig, Mig, Stick, Oxy advantageous
Ability to work autonomously and in a team
Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to identify faults with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems
Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills
Thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices
Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures
Confined Space and BA Competence highly desired
