Job Description:
The University of Florida is hiring a Student Financial Aid Coordinator II to oversee state-funded scholarships and grants such as Florida Bright Futures. This role involves managing disbursements, ensuring accurate reporting, and staying compliant with state rules.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
State Program Oversight
Lead all processes for Florida-funded scholarships and grants, including eligibility, selection, and fiscal management.
Interpret and apply state aid policies and regulations.
Develop and share procedures to ensure program compliance and efficiency.
Awarding & Disbursement
Coordinate the awarding and timely disbursement of state financial aid.
Use professional judgment in eligibility decisions.
Act as the university’s main contact for the Florida Office of Student Financial Assistance.
Reporting & Compliance
Handle all reporting and reconciliation tasks for state aid programs.
Ensure accurate data submission and monitor fund disbursement and returns to stay compliant.
Additional Duties
Support the Manger with additional aid programs.
Participate in financial aid presentations and professional development.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Expected Salary:
$47,500 annually
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
Student Financial Aid experience preferred
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Microsoft Office proficiency, including Excel
