Title: Lead - Electrical CAD Designer
Worksite Location: This position reports to corporate headquarters in Columbus, OH, but may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.
Duties: Hy-Tek Material Handling, LLC seeks Lead - Electrical CAD Designer in Columbus, Ohio. Based on customer specifications and scope documentation, designs system layouts, schematics, and control devices, usually for large projects or multiple small projects. Performs diverse, specialized, and complex work involving significant accountability and decision-making. Creates all project documents according to internal processes to ensure that designs meet customer expectations. Prepares schematics and specifications for control panel fabrication. Provides documentation and support to the field wiring team. Ensures that all project checklists and electronic documents created by the project team are complete and archived. Reviews customer specifications and scope documentation for quotation and clarification. Follows engineering standard. Guides, trains, and mentors less experienced team members.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field. 2 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in the material handling industry. 2 years of experience with Allen-Bradley controls/controllers in the material handling industry. 2 years of experience in industrial automation systems and Allen-Bradley controls/controllers. 2 years of experience in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical or other related electrical CAD systems. Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines. Creative-thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work non-traditional hours. 2 years of experience in designing controls systems. 2 years of experience in material handling.
