Title: Lead Systems Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Straight Pay: $63.94/hr.

Introduction

Join our dynamic Military Fixed Wing Team (MFW) Project Engineering team, where we support military turbojet engines with innovative solutions. We are seeking a skilled and experienced engineering leader to guide and execute fast-paced, new centerline military engine design programs. This role offers the opportunity to lead a cross-functional engineering team in developing and supporting major engine systems to be best-in-market under strict schedule constraints.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident, or have protected status due to US export control laws

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

Minimum 10 years of directly related engineering experience in the design, development, manufacture, and/or test of gas turbine engines or similarly complex mechanical systems

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Results-oriented with strong commitment to customer satisfaction

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and manage internal and external customers

Expertise in gas turbine engine module or system development and project management

Willingness to travel internationally to support program execution and customer interactions

Experience leading cross-functional international teams in a matrix organization

Capability to facilitate interpersonal relationships and resolve conflicts tactfully

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Lead design and development activity of the engine system through all aspects of the IPDS process, ensuring compliance with technical requirements

Serve as an engineering leader for multiple programs or work streams

Implement design-to-cost and variation-reduction strategies

Promote and build strong team culture and working relationships

Monitor work of team members and provide guidance when needed

Approve schedules and budgeted time for team tasks
