POSITION TITLE: Estimator

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Engineering

Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and production processes based on specifications.

Utilize historical data and collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine estimates.

Support the engineering team by gathering and analyzing relevant data from drawings and specifications.

Work with project managers, engineers, and customer service teams to ensure project costs are accurate and within budget.

Maintain and update a cost database for materials, labor, and equipment.

Assist in preparing proposals, tracking project budgets, and ensuring alignment with corporate goals.

Provide insights on cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation in estimating processes.

Perform other duties as required by the VP of Engineering.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Basic math skills and a passion for numbers.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes and cost estimation preferred.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings and specifications.

Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with SyteLine is a plus).

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Education Requirements:

Associate's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with relevant experience in estimating or manufacturing are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment: Office and manufacturing settings.

Physical Demands: Sitting, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

Position Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime.

Travel: Minimal local travel may be required.
