Your leadership will directly impact our trajectory. You'll shape the technical foundation that supports our rapidly growing user base and build the engineering culture that will scale with us.
What you'll do:
Lead and scale our engineering team as we double in size this year
Set technical vision and architecture strategy to support 10x growth
Build and refine engineering processes, culture, and best practices
Partner closely with product and business teams to translate company goals into technical roadmaps
Make critical build vs. buy decisions and drive architectural choices
Mentor engineers and establish career development frameworks
Own system reliability, performance, and security at scale
Recruit, interview, and onboard top engineering talent
Balance technical debt, feature velocity, and infrastructure investments
Drive technical decisions across our stack (Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, GCP, React, Tailwind)
Work with a high sense of urgency - we ship fast and learn fast.
You're a fit if:
You have 8+ years of engineering experience with 3+ years in engineering leadership roles
You've scaled engineering teams from 5-20+ people at a high-growth startup
You have hands-on experience with modern web technologies and can still code when needed
You've built systems that handle significant scale and know how to architect for growth
You're product-minded and understand how technical decisions impact business outcomes
You thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and can prioritize ruthlessly
You have experience with hiring, performance management, and building engineering culture
You can communicate technical concepts clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders

You've been a founding engineer or early engineering hire (first 5-10 employees)
You have experience in e-commerce, creator economy, or marketplace platforms
You've led teams through fundraising and rapid scaling phases
You're excited about AI/ML applications and automation
